SOPAS, SINING AT SORBETES (SA ARAW NG KAPASKUHAN)

The Annual SOPAS, SINING AT SORBETES (SSS), an arts appreciation activity complemented with a feeding program for the underprivileged children and youth from various communities. Through this program, the CCP envisions that “Ang Kabataang MALUSOG at MALIKHAIN ay mabubuhay ng MASIGLA, MAKABULUHAN, at MALAYA.

Follow-on Activity -Vista Mar Hotel and Beach Resort, Mactan, Cebu City 04 - 08 January 2009. A group of thirty (30) young Filipino leaders ranging from 25 – 35 years old, coming from various sectors and geographic representations of the Philippines, were chosen to attend a one-month customized program at Northern Illinois University under a U.S. State Department Program entitled North-South Dialogue Cultural Citizens Project (NSD).

The International Visitor Program-Philippines Alumni Foundation, Inc. (IVP-Phil.) will hold it’s 9th Annual General Assembly Meeting on the Manila Doctor's College Auditorium, DM Boulevard; 7:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. Saturday, 7 February 2009 at the with the theme: "Responsible Citizenship: Mobilizing Civil Society for Active Voter Participation" , with Comelec Chairman Melo as keynote speaker (still to be confirmed).
